QSC WideLine-8 System Launches Daft Punk at London’s Shard
London, UK, July 2013 — London-based professional sound production company Podd Sound chose a QSC WideLine-8 line array system for use at the recent Sony Music European launch party for Daft Punk's new album, Random Access Memories. The stylish event was held on Floor 69 of London's recently completed landmark Shard skyscraper, now the tallest building in the European Union, with a star-studded guest list including Calvin Harris and Jude Law — a very appropriate launch for the record it celebrated. QSC Audio Products, LLC is pleased to announce a new service partner agreement with dcinex to provide support for QSC Cinema products and systems across the European continent and the United Kingdom. dcinex is a provider of fully integrated solutions for cinema operations, including Exhibitor Services, Content Services, and Consulting. The company has a long history in digital cinema services. Under the new agreement, dcinex will provide centralized customer telephone support and arrange advance replacement or repair of QSC cinema products when necessary. South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa in Las Vegas Builds to the Future with Complete QSC Audio System
Las Vegas, NV (June 11, 2013) — South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa, the first mega-resort to be built south of McCarran Airport on the Las Vegas Strip, has installed a QSC Audio Q-Sys Core 500i network processor, CX Series amplification and AcousticDesign ceiling speakers to handle paging and P.A. in its recently expanded Arena and Equestrian Center. In his new role, Brink will be responsible for support the sales efforts of QSC cinema dealers and end users (theaters, cinemas, studios, etc.) by providing product training, technical and sales support. Paul has an extensive background in the cinema post-production business. Paul worked for several years at Lucasfilm, Ltd., as Systems Engineer for the THX Digital Mastering program. Drummer Dave Weckl Joins the K for Musicians Family
